At Aston Hall Hotel, we believe that looking after our environment is an important part of looking after our guests, our team and our local community.
We are continually looking at practical ways to reduce our environmental impact, while maintaining the high standards and experience our guests expect from us.
Saving Energy
We have introduced LED lighting throughout the Hotel, helping us to reduce energy consumption and improve the efficiency of our lighting.
Our team also carry out regular walk rounds throughout the Hotel to check that lights, heating and air conditioning are switched off or adjusted in areas that are not in use. We encourage all our employees to consider their energy usage as part of their everyday responsibilities.
Saving Water
Water is an important resource, and we encourage our team to use it responsibly. Staff are regularly reminded not to waste water unnecessarily and to report any leaks or issues promptly.
Our regular checks also help us identify areas where water may be being wasted, allowing us to take action where required.
Reducing Single-Use Plastics
We are actively working to reduce our use of single-use plastics.
As part of this commitment, 29 of our 50 bedrooms have now been upgraded to refillable soap and shampoo dispensers. This reduces the number of individual plastic toiletry bottles being used and disposed of by our guests.
We will continue to look for further opportunities to replace single-use products with reusable or refillable alternatives wherever practical.
Reducing Waste
We encourage our team to think carefully about waste and to consider whether items can be reused, recycled or avoided before being disposed of.
From reducing unnecessary printing and packaging to making better use of resources, we believe that small changes in our everyday operations can make a genuine difference.
